The Big Move

Whelp...today was the day that I finally made my move for my freshman year of college. Seeing as it takes about 4 hours to Tech, we left dim and early this morning around 5 a.m. Unfortunate enough for me, I only got about one and a half hours of sleep. Unlike the last time that happened (during orientation back in July), I didn't get another migraine. Yay. There's so much I can really say about today, but overall I just have to say that it was very different for me and EXTREMELY stressful. It took me and my family a little over 5 hours to finally get everything in our room situated. And when I say "situated", I mean that everything is packed wall to wall. Lucky enough we got a bigger room (one of the study rooms) which mysteriously has access to the wifi connection. Woooo. Anywho...I had my very first awkward shower experience after my parents left. The only thing really shielding you from the outside (the bathroom, of course) is a skimpy shower curtain. Everytime I went to get something, I felt like I was flashing someone. Hah! Just to add to the awkwardness, I forgot my body wash in my room -___-. Luckily my roommate was taking a shower at the same time so she could lend me a bar of soap. Grrr. Today was definitely nothing short of adventurous, especially after driving around with my family for over two hours trying to find them a hotel. I wish I didn't have to miss The Avengers playing on the drillfield, but oh well. Hopefully there will be other times. Well, "tomorrow's" the day for goodbyes. Believe it or not, I will really miss my little dysfunctional family (and my doggy of course), but I have to leave the nest sooner or later. Maybe hanging out with my best friend tomorrow will help us both chill out. Wish me luck...PEACE! I am finally going to bed now.

Introduction

Majority of the people who read this will probably already know who I am (and I'm really no good at introductions), but why not just begin here anyways? The name's Ashley Glusic, affectionately known as "Gluestick." I was born one cold morning on February 13th, 1994 at Alexandria Hospital in Alexandria, VA. I was born and raised in Virginia. I've lived in Woodbridge my entire life, but I finally get to make the move to Blacksburg in 4 DAYS (yikes!) for college. Up to this point in my journey, I've grown up with both of my parents as a lonely only child. Some may say that makes me spoiled, but I really think that I am blessed. Even if everything in my life at this time is at the very bare minimum, I have almost everything that I need along with many of my desires thrown in that have been fulfilled. I'm not going to get into my personal life too much, so I think that's enough. For now. Muahaha. Anyways...as the description suggests, I am anything but ordinary in comparison to the stereotypical teenager. Overall, I would describe myself as someone who knows EXACTLY what they want and will do almost anything to get it. Everytime someone tells me I can't do something, I am ready and willing to challenge that assumption. I am an avid lover of all things Disney and a crazy animal lover. I've owned numerous pets in my eighteen years, but currently I only have one doggy: a seven year old Lhasa Apso named Coco. I am studying Animal and Poultry Science/Pre-Vet this year at Virginia Tech in hopes of attending Veterinary School in five years to become a small animal veterinarian. Sounds fun, right? Well, hopefully I can stick to it... Some of my best friends are those that I have met online through an unmentionable "realm" that I am not willing to explain at the moment. ;P Oh, and purple's my favorite color. Can't you tell? Moving on...I hope that people will stick with me here and read my "adventurous" life stories and shenanigans. Couldn't say all of that on a Facebook status, could ya? Welp, catch ya on the flip side.
